What is Lifeline?
Lifeline is an easy-to-use personal response service that ensures that older adults living at home get quick assistance whenever it is needed -- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Why do I need Lifeline?
Life is unpredictable. If you are an older adult living independently, an unexpected fall or medical emergency could threaten your future health if help is delayed. If you having an aging parent who lives alone, Lifeline will provide you with peace of mind that your loved one will receive prompt care when you aren't with them.
Lifeline is Simple to Use
Lifeline is worn as a pendant or wristband. Just press the button to summon assistance. Within seconds, a certified Lifeline Response Accociate responds, assesses the situation and summons appropriate help, whether a neighbor, relative or emergency services.
How Lifeline Works
- Summon Help: When you need help, press your personal help button, which activates the Lifeline Home Unit.
- Professional Intervention: The Lifeline Home Unit dials the Lifeline Response Center and establishes two-way voice communication.
- Appropriate Lifeline Response: Within seconds, a Lifeline Response Associate with complete access to your full profile communiates with you and quickly assesses the situation.
- Closed Loop: The Lifeline Response Associate then contacts a neighbor, a loved one, or emergency services based on your specific needs. The Lifeline Response Associate will follow up to ensure that help did arrive.
Lifeline Benefits
Lifeline provides you with many benefits: easy-to-use waterproof pendants, coverage throughout you home, round-the-clock monitoring, peace of mind for you and your family, low cost (just a little more than a dollar a day), and no long-term commitments or equipment purchases.
Lifeline also offers many non-emergency benefits including reminders to take medication, instant access to your health care wishes by emergency room personnel, and fax notification to your doctor, home nurse, or family member to inform them of your condition. Ask about these additional benefits.
