Get Help
Each year, the Lorain County Chapter of the American Red Cross responds immediately to disasters, including fires, floods, and storms, throughout Lorain County. We help hundreds of families rebuild their lives and regain hope.
The Lorain County Chapter American Red Cross provides this service through a highly skilled and trained corp of volunteers. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week these volunteers are ready to assist disaster victims and since disasters take no holidays, these volunteers leave their families to help others.
Red Cross disaster relief focuses on meeting people’s immediate, emergency, disaster-caused needs. When a disaster threatens or strikes, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health & mental health services to address basic human needs. The heart of Red Cross disaster assistance is helping individuals and families affected by disaster to enable them to resume their normal daily activities independently.
The American Red Cross also feeds emergency workers, handles inquiries from concerned family members outside the disaster area, provides blood and blood products to disaster victims, and helps those affected by disaster to access other available resources.
Whether it is a hot meal, a dry blanket, a safe place to stay...we never charge for the assistance we provide.
