The months ahead will usher in a new "disaster season" somewhere - flood, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, fires - that shatter lives and destroy dreams. They all leave heartbreak and devastation behind. The Red Cross knows all too well the agony caused by disasters - whether they happen on a national scale, or whether it's a fire that destroys a family's home in Lorain County.
Every disaster comes down to one single, terrible moment when life is turned upside down. For a family whose lifetime of cherished memories goes up in smoke, there is no such thing as a small disaster. Whether it is a hot meal, a dry blanket, a safe place to stay...we never charge for the assistance we provide. That is why we depend so much on your support.
A financial contribution enables us to help those in need in Lorain County every day of the year. Since we are not a government agency, we rely primarily on the generosity of people like you to support our critical programs and services. Through your support of the American Red Cross, you can stretch out the hands of human compassion to those in need.
