Blood Donation Services

You have the ability to give the gift of life to someone who really needs it. Only through the donations of concerned people like you can we guarantee that there will be a safe and adequate supply of blood to meet the urgent needs of patients in emergency room and hospitals.

Donors, we encourage you to investigate if you are eligible to donate blood before you attend a blood drive. To investigate this you can go on the following American Red Cross web page and read eligibility issues at www.redcrossdonor.org or call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE

Generally, you are eligible to donate blood if :

You are at least 17 (please bring ID)
Weigh at least 110 pounds
Are in good health (no flu symptoms or taking antibiotic medication for infection)
Have not donated less than 56 days ago (you can donate every 56 days or 6 times a year)

New Donor Criteria (Effective March 21, 2005) If you have been deferred from giving blood for the following reasons you MUST call Donor Suitability 1-800-294-3347.

Deferred for tattoo (between March 21, 2004-2005).
Deferred for travel to European Countries.
Deferred for certain medications.

Please call Donor Suitability before arriving at the blood drive.
