Prepares individual to conduct disaster assessment to obtain necessary damage information needed to provide assistance to victims

Mass Care Overview
Trains volunteer staff to provide immediate mass care services. These services include food and drink to individuals affected and those helping in the relief operation.

Shelter Operations Overview and Simulation
After this course volunteers should be able to describe shelter operations including opening, operating, closing procedures, organization of the physical and material resources needed to meet the needs of people in the shelter.

Family Service
Trains Red Cross volunteers to meet the emergency needs of families on an individual basis after a disaster. Course is designed to develop interviewing skills; knowledge, attitudes and relationships necessary to meet the client’s disaster caused needs.
